Jimmy Kimmel & Sarah Silverman Just "Friends" Despite Hand-Holding


Jimmy Kimmel and ex Sarah Silverman -- back on?

Over the weekend, they held hands at a Thai karaoke bar in Hollywood. After seeing photographers, Kimmel began to walk backwards and covered his face as Silverman smiled and walked forward.

But a rep downplays any romance, telling Usmagazine.com: "They remain close friends."

Silverman even thanked Kimmel when she picked up her award at the Creative Arts Emmys for the satirical music video "I'm F------ Matt Damon" earlier this month.

"Thanks to the person for whom this whole video was made: Jimmy Kimmel, who broke my heart – ohh, who'll always have a place in my heart," Silverman said.

Kimmel and Silverman split in July after five years of dating.

The break up was mutual, a source told Us at the time.
