Q: What does it feel like to win this one?
This third one was more shocking than the first two. I do believe the show is getting better. That is the brilliance of HBO. They stick with their shows. The show has begun to find it's voice in the fifth season.
Q: What did you really think of the show open?
I thought we were being punked as an audience. I was confused. You know, like in the movie The Producers, "Springtime for Hitler". There was that awkward moment. So I was confused. As I am sure you were.
Q: Were people laughing…
There was this really great line about Sarah Palin's bridge to nowhere. But (otherwise) It was confusing.
Q: How long on Entourage? Ten more years?
When I first heard of this show, I thought this premise was so fertile… I think this show could continue on. We have so many great actors in this town. Jeffrey Tambor comes on and plays one of my clients this year. It is one of the best times I have ever had in my life. HE is a genius. There areso many people we could go to. I think we could go on for a very long time.
Q: Would you stay on?
I just flew in from New York. Now I have to get on a play and go back to Broadway. We are rehearsing Speed The Plow. So I am in the midst of what I consider my Olympics. It is like 8 shows a week, can I rise to the occasion and do David Mammet. And I believe Entourage would not exisit without David Mammet.
Q: You won the Emmy. You get to take it home, but is it a win for one, a win for all on your set?
Kevin Connelly who plays E on the show… He literally raised up a golden kind of strange, off brand beer and he and I kind of clinked glasses and we both have pictures of that. One of the most important things to live by is another man's success will never take away from your own. I think Kevin gets that. I think if you can get that you can be so happy.
Q: What comes to your mind when you hear "President Palin?"
I have to be totally honest with you. It is the Bridge to Nowhere endless loop that I keep hearing. I just keep hearing that. That and Matt Damons quotes about her. I wish he was here right now.
Q: You have won three of these now. Two more to go to tie Don Knotts…
(joking) There isn't a moment that goes by that I don't think "When am I going to take Don Knotts down?" It is my mantra before I go to sleep and when I wake up.
Q: How do your think your dad (who is deceased) would feel now that you have won three
I was talking to my mother before I came here and she was sayin' "Just raise it up to him"
