Do people still watch 24? jw


Not so great news for 24 fans. EW is reporting that production of the new season of 24 will shut down for more than two weeks so that the series writers can “reshape the upcoming season’s creative direction”. Howard Gordon admits that they “just couldn’t get this direction to work,” so they “found another one” and “wound up retooling it.” Last season was lackluster by every account, and a production shutdown is never a good sign, especially considering this season was already postponed an entire year (partly due to the writers strike). You would think that with all the extra time, they would have figured everything out…

And if that doesn’t sound bad enough, Michael Ausiello reports that Elisha Cuthbert has signed on to reprise her role as Jack Bauer’s incredibly stupid and annoying daughter.

idgi i liked kim. they just need to be careful with how they use her, she has the potential to be a way better character but the writers always seem to dig themselves in a hole with her.

Why is it that of all the characters to survive 7 seasons, Kim Bauer has to be one of them? Ugh, fail. And I thought they already re-wrote this season once before as it is.

I love 24. It's far and away my favourite TV show but since when has it had a creative direction?! I always thought that their writing process involved making it up as they go along and including an explosion in every episode.

season 7 trailor (contains a spoiler). i dunno, but i think season 7 is already complete, with the 2 hr prequel movie that bridges season 6-7 to air in nov. dunno for sure but this source is either talking about season 8 or it's not true. idgi (???)

I am so alone in being thrilled with Kim coming back but YAY!!!! She was awesome because she sucked so much.

They need to make things awesome this season to make up for the suck of last season.

I think 24 started to suck that season when Jack got addicted to heroin or whatever, and it just never recovered.

I watch it but feel a bit guilty about it ever since learning BushCo studied it for torture techniques and the constant name dropping of Jack Bauer by republican politicians as it relates to the torture debate.
