MICHAEL CAINE - CAINE: 'I'M TOO OLD FOR STUNTS'
SIR MICHAEL CAINE refuses to do his own stunts - insisting he is too old to risk injuring himself.
The 75-year-old veteran actor is famed for taking part in dangerous movie sequences in classic films such as Get Carter and The Italian Job, but isn't keen to continue his risk-taking ways.
And the star admits it was his years as a soldier in the British Army which put him off further risking his neck.
He says, "I have done all those years of doing stunts. I try to avoid danger at all cost.
"I served in the occupation force in Berlin in 1951 and then the Korean war for one year. I got out as quick as I could... Ex-soldiers never do dangerous things. You used up all your luck."

Bathroom Demands Make Caine's Marriage Bliss
SIR MICHAEL CAINE knows the secret to a happy marriage - he never shares a bathroom with his wife SHAKIRA.
The Dark Knight star has been married for 35 years, after wooing his former model wife when he spotted her in a TV advertisement.
And Caine believes to maintain married bliss, you must always have separate washrooms - even when you're staying at a hotel.
He explains, "Never share a bathroom with a woman. We've always had two bathrooms.
"We book into hotels and we ask for two bedrooms and you see them thinking that our marriage is on the rocks, but I'm just trying to get another bathroom."

MICHAEL CAINE - CAINE'S BATMAN PENSION PLAN
SIR MICHAEL CAINE was pleased to land the role of BATMAN's beloved butler ALFRED in the rejuvenated superhero franchise - because he sees the part as his pension.
The legendary actor has played the loyal man-servant opposite Christian Bale in 2005's Batman Begins and The Dark Knight, set to hit cinemas later this month (Jul08).
The 75-year-old took over the role from his actor pal Michael Gough, who portrayed the lovable character in the first four films before bowing out at the age of 84.
And Caine is keen to follow in Gough's footsteps - insisting he could play the character well into his 80s.
He says, "For me, the greatest thing about playing Alfred is that he's a character for all time and you can play it as long as you like.
"Like Michael Gough, a friend of mine, who played Alfred in the Batman films until he was 84. So I have another 10 years to go. It is really my old age pension."
