i think she's just, for the lack of a better word, too mature for mainstream audiences

i mean, she's not shakin' her ass, collaborating with rappers on every song, or trying to be something she's not
so most people don't pay attention to her

i think you are right. tamia is clearly about the music and that is not something most audiences are into. they are more concerned with all that extra stuff. nonetheless, i wish more people were aware of her amazing vocal talent.
