'The Simpsons': Denis Leary, Julia Louis-Dreyfus among next season's guest stars

Does Denis Leary need to be rescued from Bart Simpson? The Rescue Me star will play himself in the Oct. 5 episode of The Simpsons, losing his cool at a celebrity golf event and throwing his cell phone in anger. When Bart finds the phone, he uses it to make prank calls — and even winds up accepting a role for Leary in Brian Grazer's big-screen adaptation of Everybody Poops (yes, Grazer also guests). Meanwhile, Julia Louis-Dreyfus reprises her role as Snake's girlfriend — and this time, she's pregnant! — in the Sept. 28 season opener. (Plot: Homer becomes a bounty hunter.)

In other Simpsons business news, two billionaires — Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban and Amazon.com CEO Jeff Bezos — will lend their pipes to a December installment in which Mr. Burns wins a pro basketball team during a poker game. Notes Simpsons executive producer Al Jean of that episode: "It certainly has the richest cast in the history of cartoons."

	As much as i love the simpsons i wish they'd just let it end. I'd rather them do repeats of the good episodes then have repeats of bad ones. (Reply to this)

	My family and their loved ones were watching the simpsons one evening and I came into the livingroom. I stated "I don't think this show is funny.......at all."The fucking looks I got! And I think I may have been disowned. I'm trying to find the magic of the simpsons. BB steps (Reply to this)

	I think The Simpsons needs to end. It's not great anymore at all. Guest Stars was cool, but not anymore. I stopped watching back in 1999. Since it just was the same stuff over and over. It's so done! (Reply to this)

	I stopped watching this 4+ years ago but it seems like whenever I see re runs on fox, it's one of the same three episodes I have happened to catch. Same with American Dad. :( (Reply to this) (Thread)
