Shia LaBeouf needs his nicotine fix


After being busted twice for illegally lighting up in public facilities, Shia LaBeouf’s come up with a way to satisfy his nicotine addiction that won’t land him behind bars. The Indiana Jones star has invested in NicStiic, a smokeless device that uses a heating coil to dispense nicotine into the bloodstream.

An insider tells Star: “Shia needs his nicotine fix so badly, he can’t go without it.”

For some people it started as a *~*cool*~* thing and became a habit. However, I talked to this one guy once who said that he just had an oral fixation; I told him to stick to weed.

i approve because those crazy NicStics looks like a cigarette and thus keeping his "smoking is sexy" hot factor (yes, it's bad, whatever). also, it's just nicotine which on it's own is not a known carcinogen (or so i recall).

Nicotine is a stimulant, speeding up the heart by about 20 beats per minute with every cigarette; it raises blood pressure, and is a vasoconstrictor, making it harder for the heart to pump through the constricted arteries. It causes the body to release its stores of fat and cholesterol into the blood.

Nicotine increases the risk of blood clots significantly.[citation needed] If blood clots in an artery, blood flow is reduced or halted, and tissue loses its source of oxygen and nutrients and dies in minutes.

Peripheral circulation, arteries going to the extremities, are also highly susceptible to the vasoconstrictor effects of nicotine as well as the increased risk of clots and clogging.[citation needed]
