Are You Ready for Posh & Becks: The Musical?
Is the world ready for a song and dance version of the life of Victoria Beckham and her soccer stud hubby David Beckham? A theater company in Dublin, Ireland, sure hopes so!
MacBecks, which the show's director calls a "wild comedy romp," pokes fun at the international supercouple, mixing details of their headline-making life with various bits from classic William Shakespeare plays.
“We’re very excited by the script," says Ronan Smith of Long Road Productions, which is behind the staging of the satirical sing-song affair. "It borrows from Shakespeare’s Macbeth, King Lear and Romeo & Juliet."
According to reports, Posh will be portrayed as an ambitious Lady Macbeth for whom husband David sacrifices his career.
Other real-life characters slated to be portrayed in the show — slated to premiere in January 2009 — include Sir Alex Ferguson, manager of Becks' former team, Manchester United, and Rebecca Loos, David's former assistant with whom he was alleged to have been more than professional.

Along with the MacBecks the musical coming to life. Today July 4th is David and Victoria's wedding anniversary. It's their 9th wedding anniversary. So in celebration of that. A picspam of the last 9 years.
1997: The beginning of the Victoria and David era
1998: David & Victoria announce that they are engaged and somewhere along the way Victoria becomes pregnant with Brooklyn. They are now starting to match in outfits. OMG! Eric Cantona leaves Manchester United. Oh noes!
1999: Epic Year! Manchester United wins the Treble. David and Victoria get married. Brooklyn Joseph Beckham is born. Woohoo! The matching continues!
2000: What a year for the Beckhams! Threats to Victoria and Brooklyn are made. Spice Girls are now four instead of being five. An end to an era! David's relationship with Sir Alex worsens after missing practice. Boohooo!!! However, Becks becomes England Captain! Victoria releases Outta Your Mind! She's going solo!
2001: Manchester United won the Premier League. Victoria releases her solo album and her second single is.... Not Such An Innocent Girl
2002: The World Cup! Oh noes! England loses to Brazil in the quarterfinals. Manchester United did not win the Premier League! Victoria releases the final single from her album. David's hair grew back. Woohooo!!! Romeo James Beckham is born. Yay!! Bend it Like Beckham is released. Holy crap!
2003: Where to begin! Wait! David moves to Real Madrid for a record €35 million euros or $55 million dollars. What else? David receives his OBE. Victoria releases her last solo single. The Beckhams move to Madrid. A highlight: They attend the MTV Movie Awards and they are matching.
2004: Euros! Becks plays every single match. However in the match against Portugal during penalty shootout, he misses. Ruining the chances of England wining the Euros. Ahhh!!! Real Madrid fail to win La Liga. Rebecca Loos comes into play. She says that she had an affair with David. Boohoo! Who cares. What has happened to Ms. Loos after this? Huh?
2005: Busy year or was it? Real Madrid don't win La Liga. Becks develops soccer academies all over the world. Real Madrid tours the world during the pre-season. Becks talks during the Live 8 Concert. Posh & Becks go on a holiday in France. The Beckhams go to Singapore and London wins their Olympic bid. Yeah! Becks still has long hair. Oh man! Cruz David Beckham is born.
2006: Holy shit! It's the World Cup. England lose to Portugal. David is no longer England Captain. *cries* Real Madrid still haven't won La Liga. Victoria releases That Extra Half an Inch: Hair, Heels and Everything In Between. He still has hair!
2007: What a crazy year for the Beckhams! When I mean crazy, Beckham moves to the LA Galaxy on a deal worth $250 million. Crazy! Real Madrid finally win La Liga. Hmmm.. Spice Girls reunion! Holy shit! Victoria makes a reality tv show that should have been longer than one episode. Major! The Beckhams takeover America. The Galaxy finish 3 spots away from the bottom of the table! David for most of the second half of the MLS was out with an injury. David's hair had a crazy journey this year.
2008: Present Time. Let's see. Becks makes his 100th cap for England. He is captain for one match for England. The Galaxy are currently at the top of the Western Conference in the MLS. Victoria was a guest judge on the finale of Project Runway. David's hair is still short. Ahh!!!
