I do know the actresses name but I don't want to type it here incase there is some kind of rights against that until the press release."

Ryan has appeared on Broadway and on One Life to Live and Degrassi. She has also apparently dated Adam Brody, James Franco, and Jared Leto. idk how I feel about this, she's pretty but looks like a typical bleached blonde, but maybe these pics don't do her justice. I'm not worried about her age because I'd prefer an adult or a teen to play Alice, not a child, because an older girl can do more with the role IMO. Kinda sucks because I remember that Amanda Seyfried recently said that she'd love the role, and I think she would have been a good choice.  EDIT:  Or Annasophia Robb!  She would have been great, now I'm sad...


I'm aware that this definitely does not count as official confirmation, but that site/forum does not seem to attract trolls and I tend to believe those posters. Some posters on Tim's IMDb page also claim that casting is complete, there are conceptual drawings, and they are very close to starting production. Tim Burton's Alice film will be a combination of live action and performance capture animation (like in Beowolf), and it is scheduled to be released on March 19, 2010.


We'll see if this news comes true!
