'Apprentice' winner is sick on first day

Apprentice winner Lee McQueen has missed his first day at work for Sir Alan Sugar due to illness.

The reality TV contestant, 30, reportedly angered his new boss by calling in sick yesterday.

"This will make Sir Alan really cross because he hates being let down," a source told The Sun.

"Lee was really keen to start work but he felt he wasn't up to it and had to stay at home."

McQueen beat 15 contestants to a £100,000-a-year job helping develop digital display advertising last month.

A spokesperson for Sir Alan Sugar's holding company Amshold said: "Lee is at home with a virus. He'll be at work as soon as he is well."

HAHAHA. Classic. Who else watched The Apprentice UK this year? It was beyond genius, more bitchy than Mean Girls and Clueless put together, what with the Chinny Ginger Bitch, 'The Best Salesperson in Europe', and the Sugababe reject. Lucinda and Raef FTMFW. Mostly Lucinda though, she was amazing.

good! i was so disappointed when lee won, especially when he was nailed in the interviews. lucinda was my bitch, ftw. but she didn't win, argh. sir allan needs to stop choosing the dull white dudes

i was quite happy for her when she got fired actually, i reckon she would have been bored in that shitty job. she seems to be doing pretty well, the bbc hired her to help present royal ascot with clare balding.

LUCINDA WAS MADE OF AWESOME. I loved her from the beginning. And Raef, damn it sucked he got fired, stupid tissues. I was never really interested in Lee to be honest, and I kinda loved Claire by the end. She should've beaten Lee.

But again, Lucinda was by far the best.

Omg Lucinda was fabulous, she was too good for the stupid job. Lee was a twat.

I think it's hilarious that Alex has quit business to become a model. He's such a bimbo. AND ONLY 24 YEARS OLD.
