alicia keys to retire at 30


R&B singer ALICIA KEYS has decided she wants to retire by the age of 30 - so she can spend the rest of her life travelling the world.
The 27-year-old star often finds herself exasperated by the pressures of fame and in 2006 she took a break from music and travelled to Egypt to recuperate.
And the Fallin' hitmaker insists that she hopes to be able to bow out of the entertainment industry in the next few years, so she can start enjoying her time.
She says, "I am working hard now so I have the choice to retire when I want.
"I would like to travel the world and stay in places instead of having to move on like I do now. I want to experience difference cultures."

I hate when artists say they're retiring at an early age because most of them end up coming back at some point. And I mean, sure, you could spend your entire life traveling the world but that's a little ridiculous to act like you need 50 years to do it

lol um yeah she can, she has movies, record deals... she has a lot of money. songs in a minor has sold 10 million copies worldwide, the diary of alicia keys has sold 9 million worldwide, and as i am has sold about 6 million. i'm sure she has the money to retire for the rest of her life.

I feel weird about this because music is a passion and passions never retire. If she really loved music she wouldn't technically retire from that but would still produce albums and remain behind the scenes. I hate when all these musicians are like "I'm going to retire" bullshit.
