What's with all the Old Spice lately? Ugh the smell of Old Spice reminds me of the doorman at my friend's family's old apartment, it smelt as if he sprayed the whole bottle on himself.

They've been trying to sell the brand on its ironic retro-cheesiness (Bruce Campbell is another recent pitchman) which works fine in a print or TV ad, but is not so great when you actually have to put an ironic retro-cheesy smell on your body.

I think instead of trying to bring back the hygiene products they should start a clothing line. Lots of guys want to LOOK like they smell like Clive-your-swinging-uncle-from-decades-gone-by, but I don't think many people want to smell like that for real.
