Katie Price's Dressage Debut... 6th place out of 27 riders.
Katie Price, aka Jordan, eyes London Olympics 2012 after sixth place on dressage debut
Jordan, the model, made her debut in competitive dressage today, finishing in sixth out of 27, and has her eyes set on the Olympics in 2012.
The star, whose real name is Katie Price, scored 153 out of 240 and got an overall score of 63.75 per cent.
Jordan, 30, is planning to invest on her sports career, having her eyes set on the 2012 Olympics.
After being told her result, she said: "Oh excellent, brilliant, that's quite good isn't it? I'm pleased I finished without the bells ringing."
"I really enjoyed it, I've got a rosette which is really good for me. I didn't come here to win it, I just wanted to participate and take part. It was a great crowd.
"We're all in the same situation, you have got to start somewhere. It was great but nerve-wracking. I've not been doing dressage long so I'm proud of what I've done.
Sporting silk white jodhpurs and black jacket, Jordan, rider number 24, romped home on Jordan's Glamour Girl at the Hickstead showjumping ground in Sussex.
Her mother Amy was in the audience but husband Peter Andre just missed his wife's debut in the international arena after arriving late.
Jordan, 30, joked: "Let's wind him up and go, 'Why are you late? You've missed your wife's debut."
The competition was won by Jan Blackmore with 167 marks with an overall score of 69.58 per cent on Sunny Bay.
Kevin Maple, 47, construction manager, of Woodmancote, West Sussex, finished second.
He said: "I think she did very well. I get nervous enough riding my own horse but she stood up to the task very well.
"I take my hat off to her to compete like that in front of everyone. She has to concentrate on herself and her horse which is even worse. A horse has got a mind of its own."
Gina Weare, 32, a medical insurance broker, of Battle, Sussex, finished last.
She said: "I didn't see her test but obviously she did well. She hasn't done this sort of thing before so it was a very good start.
"I'm not jealous, everybody wishes everybody else the best of luck when they come and do this sort of thing."
