Interview with Shayne Dahl Lamas and Matt Grant from The Bachelor London Calling
We had the opportunity to speak with Shayne Dahl Lamas and Matt Grant from The Bachelor: London Calling. Last night on The Bachelor London Calling, Matt Grant chose Shayne and proposed to her with a Tacori Platinum Diamond Ring. The ring is nearly 3 carrots (2.85) and valued at 60k. With the two final girls, Chelsea and Shayne both competing for Matt’s love, he gave the final rose to Shayne. Here’s what they had to say:
Q. Shayne, How does your dad feel about Matt Grant?
A. Shayne, (The Bachelor): My father is very protective of his girls but he fell in love with Matt like I did.
Q. With the Lamas family being so involved in acting, Matt are you going to try acting?
A. Matt Grant, (The Bachelor): I can’t really act, but there are a lot of opportunities ahead of us so we’ll see.
Q. With the past statistics of breakups, do you think you are going to be able to make the relationship work?
A. Shayne, (The Bachelor): We have already been together for three months. We are madly in love and we are getting married. When we are ready to set a date as a couple we will. We are thrilled as a couple and excited about the future.
Q. Did the two of you watch the episodes together? Shayne, did it bother you seeing Matt with the other girls?
A. Shayne, (The Bachelor): It was a mistake watching it together. Matt and I from the beginning talked openly and honestly about everything. Though we did make an alter ego named “Bob” when Matt did stuff that I didn’t like on the show.
Q. Did you know from the beginning that Shayne was going to be the girl you proposed to?
A. Matt Grant, (The Bachelor): I knew from the beginning. I thought it was too good to be true. From the first time I set my eyes on her I knew.
Q. Has anything changed since the cameras are off now?
A. Matt Grant (The Bachelor): I was pretty skeptical in the beginning but she has a great sense of humor and we are both in love.
Q. Did it bother you Shayne when Chelsea said you were the fakest person?
A. Shayne, (The Bachelor): I was caught off guard and I was actually hurt. But I wish her the best.
Q. Matt what do you like about American women?
A. Matt Grant, (The Bachelor): American women have a self confidence about themselves and Shayne captures that for me.
Q. Shayne, did you have the same feelings for Matt when you first met him?
A. Shayne, (The Bachelor): Matt definitely caught my eye. He is just amazing.
Q. What is your career plans Matt, now that you have found love in the US?
A. Matt Grant (The Bachelor): My job is open when I return to London. My boss is a mentor and a good friend so he is keeping it open for me. Not sure yet what we are going to do but we are discussing everything right now.
Q. How did you feel Shayne when Matt gave you the final rose? Did you think you might not get one?
A. Shayne, (The Bachelor): It was an out of body experience. I was just trying to take it all in. I was so shocked and thrilled. You never know and yes I was nervous. I didn’t get to see how he interacted with the other girls so I wasn’t sure.
Q. Did you know that you were in love with Matt right in the beginning?
A. Shayne, (The Bachelor): I knew the moment I saw him.
Q. How does your family feel about you possibly moving to the states?
A. Matt Grant, (The Bachelor): I am genuinely ready to settle down. With my father’s stroke, I value life as very precious. It is tough to try to fly back and forth like we are doing now but we are talking about the options.
Q. What nicknames do you have for each other?
A. Shayne, (The Bachelor): He calls me “monkey” and I call him “Bob” for his alter ego.
