Deschanel, Gordon-Levitt join '500'

Zooey Deschanel and Joseph Gordon-Levitt will star in the Marc Webb-helmed romantic comedy "500 Days of Summer" for Fox Searchlight.
Clark Gregg, Minka Kelly, Matthew Gray Gubler and Rachel Boston round out the cast of the film, which centers on a man (Gordon-Levitt) who falls hopelessly in love with a woman (Deschanel) who doesn't believe in love.

Scott Neustadter and Michael Weber penned the screenplay. Mark Waters, Jessica Tuchinsky, Steven Wolfe and Mason Novick are producing.

Shooting began Tuesday in L.A.

Deschanel will appear opposite Mark Wahlberg in M. Night Shyamalan's upcoming film "The Happening" for 20th Century Fox. She also co-stars in Warner Bros.' upcoming Jim Carrey comedy "Yes Man."
Gordon-Levitt will star in Paramount's 2009 summer tentpole "G.I. Joe."

yeah, despite the fact Gordon-Levitt is in it, the plot tells me this movie will not be good.

Fox Searchlight really needs to stop making movies. These indiefuck romantic comedies all have the same formula and it all seems really phony.
