Winehouse "furious" over Ronsons comments


Amy Winehouse and her team are believed to be "furious" with Mark Ronson after he claimed that she is not in a fit state to record music.

The producer said that his plans to record a Bond theme with Winehouse had been halted because of the troubled singer's ongoing health problems. However, a spokesperson for the singer hit back at his comments, claiming that artistic differences had resulted in the project being scrapped.

A source close to Winehouse told The Mirror: "Amy and the rest of the team are furious by what Ronson has said.

"Amy wasn't happy with the finished product and let her feelings known. The whole things smacks of sour grapes. Amy is more than capable of working at the moment despite a turbulent few weeks. In fact, throwing herself into her music is very much an escape for her at the moment."

Amy and Mark have previously worked together successfully on her 2006 album Back to Black and on a revamped version of The Zutons' track 'Valerie'

amy is right for being pissed. I am sorry, but just because you have a drug problem does not mean you can't record good music. Look at the velvet underground, cream, rolling stones,BJM, fuck even the beatles..

There is a whole load wrong with her besides drugs though isn't there and he didn't actually mention drugs.
Perhaps he is just a good guy and doesn't want to work with her in that state. It would be nice if everyone else did the same and the girl would have to recover.

I agree. But Winehouse is unlike those artists in the sense that she obviously can't handle the drugs. At all. Generally speaking artists even tend to do their best work under the influence or in periods in which they have addiction issues. But Winehouse is not one of those artists. She's a wreck.

I love her and all, but I think she's proven that she's not a functional drug addict. Remember all of those horrible live performances where she slurred her words? And the one where she snorted coke in the middle of a concert?

He's her friend, I'm sure he's more worried about her than he is about doing the Bond theme, but it must be frustrating for him, too.

i don't think mark said anything too awful. it's quite clear that they're really good friends and he genuinely does care about her.

you know that amy has to be in a really awful state right now if mark actually came out and admitted it. usually, you see her running around, being a wreck in london and when they ask him how she's doing he's always like, "oh, amy's good." even when she clearly isn't.

i hope she gets her shit together and fast. i really want these two making more amazing music together.

i'm pretty sure tabloid people like write plays. they pick some characters (celebrities), make up something they said, ad then make up another celebrities response to what the first character did--meanwhile not even worrying anymore if it is based in truth or not
