Usher: 'Chris Brown Is The New Me'

Usher has hailed fellow singer and Rihanna’s rumoured boyfriend Chris Brown as a younger version of himself, insisting the star will "follow the same path".

Usher, 29, was just 15 when he released his self-titled debut album in 1994 and has gone on to forge a highly successful music career.

And the You Make Me Wanna hitmaker is convinced 19-year old Brown is all set to follow in his footsteps and dominate the R&B scene.

He says: "All of this young energy is great for the industry. Chris is the guy who dances and sings, which is a lot like I do and did as a young artist as well.

"If time serves us correctly, and artists are continuing to better themselves, then hopefully he'll follow the same path that I did."

Trust me, he's far from being replaced. Chris can't sing for shit, but he can dance and he's young so I'll give him that much. I don't think Chris will ever be able move albums and win awards like Usher though and that you have to admit.

I love Usher, but I actually think Chris is better artist at this early point in his career than Usher was at that early point of his.

I'm actually shocked to hear Usher say Chris Brown is like him in a positive way. He's using running off at the mouth about how no one will ever compare to him as if he didn't steal so much of his swagger from the "Michael Jackson Before He Was A White Woman" handbook of stardom. Usher usually acts like he's the best R&B artist to ever walk to the Earth so kudos to you Usher for not being completely up your own ass for a change.

It's actually not him gasing his own head up because if you watch every single interview that he does the other person is always telling him how great he is and he always tries to wiggle himself out of it because it's uncomfortable and he knows that he's still young himself and has a long way to go. It's not his fault people think he's the shit.

As arrogant as I find Usher to be, Chris Brown is nowhere near as talented as he, imo. Chris is a fabolous dancer, but I think Usher is better and Usher is clearly the better vocalist.
