Chinese mainland actress Li Bingbing signed a deal recently with luxurious sedan producer Mercedes-Benz to become one of its spokespeople.

Advertisers' interests in the actress increased after her winning the Best Actress of China Movie Awards for her performance in 2006 war romance film "Yun Shui Yao."

Li's latest film "The Forbidden Kingdom", in which she co-stars with Jackie Chan and Jet Li, opens April 18.

I'm pretty sure it's a wig. Dying your hair white can really damage your hair.

Yeah, you're right. I had a friend who dyed her dark hair platinum blonde and it was pretty much ruined after that.
It looks slightly artifical in the pictures anyway.

my hair went right to shit after i dyed it white for a play. i know i have it like, half blonde half black right now, but going that white is just....psychotic. i had to re-do it like, once a week, and use all sorts of shit on it to keep it from picking up yellow.
ended up cutting it all off.

It's a wig she's wearing. You can tell in some of the closer shots. Also, from the trailer, it looks like they use CGI for her hair when she uses it as a weapon.

Actually, her character has dark powers. She's based on the Bride With White Hair, a tragic figure from a 1950s Chinese pulp novel who was caught in a Romeo & Juliet type love affair involving warring clans and starcrossed love. The novel was the basis for the gorgeous Ronny Yu film The Bride With White Hair.
