Laura Wright up for a feature role!


Even though Carly has her fair share of heartache these days in Port Charles, her lovely portrayer Laura Wright remains hopeful about a side project she has her sights set on. A screenplay called "Never Can Say Good-bye" has been written with her in mind to play a lead role as (can you guess?) a soap star!

Crystal Chappell, a former cast mate of Wright's from Guiding Light, and writer/producer Kim Turrisi have completed the feature-length screenplay and are pitching it to SOAPnet.

The story is about four college friends and possible cast members include GL's Gina Tognoni, Beth Ehlers and possibly even Paul Anthony Stewart (in addition to Wright).

nope, the soap writers have majorly denied this and said that he's one of the actors they hope sticks around forever (like robin where he'd grow up on screen). he's one of few they try to sign long contracts with every time they're expiring.

he may, however, have to be in surgical places in other states or something if they want to give the kid a break from the screen. ...that way his mom could conveniently go visit him when she needs breaks or to go do this movie.

Ew - isn't he and Alexis brother and sister? So it would mean he raped his sister or Sam isn't Alexis' kid. I miss Stavros - he was a hottie. I remember he was all frozen and then Helena came and got him.

He's just like the little girl who played Maxie so brilliantly. It seems once they hit that age where they realize they are 'acting' instead of playing, they become conscience of it and it shows on screen.

Gah, I hate soap operas. They're so stupid & silly imo. And I feel bad for the soap opera actors and actresses who all wish they could be Hollywood stars but end up languishing in soap opera purgatory instead.

Actually, it is pretty stable income. Most soaps are based in New York, so they also get to do theater.

it's a steady job and training ground .. a lot of famed actors started there even Tommy Lee Jones ... I'm sure there are many actors who'd kill for a role on one.

As did Julianne Moore, Parker Posey, Kathleen Turner, Alec Baldwin, Meg Ryan, Nia Long, Lauryn Hill, Hayden Panetierre, Britney Snow, Kevin Bacon, etc.

I feel kind of priviledged that I can remember all of these people on soaps before i saw them in movies.

The kid who plays Michael is so annoying. I hope they send Michael away for a while so he can come back all SORAS'd with a better actor.

I hope Sarah Brown sticks around as Claudia for a while. It's weird seeing her be someone other than Carly, but she's still damn hot. ALSO, I WANT VANESSA MARCIL TO COME BACK BECAUSE BRENDA WAS THE SHIT.
