GREY GARDENS: THE MOVIE (sorry if this has already been posted)
Why did it take me so long to find out about this? HBO picked it up, and it's starring Jessica Lange (Big Edie) and Drew Barrymore (Little Edie). I guess it's revolving around their lives up to the point of the documentary, so Edie will still be in NY.

Anyway, here are some pictures of Drew looking lovely...

Source.

I'm not sure that Drew can tackle the accent, but... who knows. She may surprise us all. I just want to know when this movie is due out, because I read somewhere that HBO wasn't sure on whether they were going to release it in the theaters or air it on television. I hope it goes to theaters, but we'll see.

Here's an article I found online about it. If anyone knows more about it, lemme know. :o)

Drew looks beautiful.

She's someone that is really really likeable, to me at least. I don't pine to watch every single movie of hers and I usually don't, but she's come a long ways from a 12-year-old drug addict

:3

She seems sooo nice too

P.S she really does look like Edie, it's weird because I'd never put that together in my own head.
I wonder if they are gonna make her bald like real Edie was. Rumor is she set her head on fire in a fit.

I'm curious to see how Drew does because Christine Ebersole was just amazing in her potrayal of Little Edie on Broadway. For me, it's gonna be extremely tough for anybody else to beat that performance, whether it be film, tv or stage. I hope Drew does well, though.

I've heard nothing but good things about Christine Ebersole's performance. A friend of mine worked for the musical before it closed, and that's really what got me fascinated by the whole story.

But I'm with you on that one; I really hope Drew pulls it off.

why do people always get angry when things are remade or adapted? get the fuck over it and give it a chance. if you don't like it, fair enough, but don't dismiss it just because the original was apparently so "OMFGSEWGOOD." God, what would have happened if The Last of the Mohicans or The Man Who Knew Too Much or Shadow of a Doubt or Hamlet or etc hadn't been remade?

Nice icon.

I don't think they're remaking it so much as they're doing a new take on it. From what I've been able to dig up on it, the movie will include Jackie Onasis and some of their other socialite friends... so it'll most likely include Edie's life before she moved back home with her mother.
