Lawsuit against Ryan Gosling?
A bit more about Ryan getting replaced in The Lovely Bones -

Image and video hosting by TinyPicImage and video hosting by TinyPic

Ryan Gosling Doesn't Love The Lovely Bones
He's out of the Peter Jackson-directed adaptation.

Bye-Bye: A strong source tells us that things blew up badly with in The Lovely Bones, the Peter Jackson-directed film based on the Alice Sebold novel. Recall that in May, DreamWorks prevailed in a bidding war by offering a very rich deal to make this film, which tells the story of a child who is raped and murdered. Gosling is out in the role of the child's father, and Mark Wahlberg slid in over the weekend just hours before shooting was set to begin. And apparently, the break with Gosling may lead to litigation, though it's still unclear what the fight was about. Sure seems that DreamWorks has been hitting a few speed bumps lately. The first movie under its own label was The Heartbreak Kid. Things We Lost in the Fire got incinerated over the weekend, opening to $1.6 million. And Kite Runner has been delayed because it put its child stars in danger in Afghanistan. Schadenfreude, Mr. Grey?

This would also seem like worrisome timing for Gosling, who got an Oscar nomination for his role in Half Nelson and is getting a fair bit of praise for Lars and the Real Girl. If he's managed to tick off Peter Jackson and DreamWorks honcho Steven Spielberg simultaneously, that could not be considered a good career move.

UPDATE: Ryan too fat for the part, according to Peter Jackson

Peter Jackson was said to be quite surprised that Gosling had showed up to start work on "The Lovely Bones" looking like he'd donned a fat suit. According to sources, the 26-year-old Gosling had apparently told the director he was going to gain weight to age himself up to play the part of a grieving father, but Jackson was still expecting some movie star allure -- not paunch and a beard. By Friday, Gosling had left the high-profile production over those pesky "creative differences," and, by Sunday, he'd been replaced by 36-year-old Mark Wahlberg, who actually could be old enough to father a teenager.

Gosling's departure comes on the heels of his indie pic "Lars and the Real Girl," which, according to Boxofficemojo.com cost $12 million. So far the film has earned $316,000, and will go wide this weekend. A DreamWorks representative declined to comment, as did Gosling's manager.

Still, "The Lovely Bones," which starts shooting today in Pennsylvania, will continue relatively unhampered.

i can't see what he could have done to make anyone upset. i think if anything, someone pissed him off. he was obviously dedicated to the role if he put on the weight and uh... i don't know. i'm glad he's not in it because it sounds like a bomb now.
