Luda's dad dies

ATLANTA, Feb. 26 (UPI) -- Wayne Bridges, the father of rapper-actor Chris "Ludacris" Bridges, has died of unknown causes in Atlanta.
Bridges died just two weeks after Ludacris won two Grammys for Best Rap Album and Best Rap Song, both of which he dedicated to his father, AllHipHop.com said Monday.
Bridges family members, in a statement issued Monday, said they "find comfort in knowing that he (Wayne) is in God's hand. Those close to the family and Wayne know that he was a great influence on his son."
Ludacris was a teen-ager when he moved in with his dad. Bridges made numerous appearances at events for his son's non-profit organization The Ludacris Foundation.
Bridges died Sunday.
