Ohioana Award Winners Reading at B&N on Oct. 14
Ohioana Award-winning authors Elton Glaser, Anne Wright, Kojo Kamau, George Bilgere, James Cross Giblin, and Saundra Rose Maley will be reading at the Barnes & Noble at Lennox Town Center and the Barnes & Noble at Easton in Columbus from 4:30 to 6 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 14.
Glaser will read from Here and Hereafter: Poems, the recipient of this year's Ohioana Book Award for poetry. Maley and Wright will read selections from A Wild Perfection: The Selected Letters of James Wright, the Ohioana Book Award winner in nonfiction. Wright, who was married to the late poet from Martins Ferry, Ohio, co-edited the collection with Saundra Rose Maley. Kamau, the 2006 Ohioana Career Award winner, will give a talk about Columbus Remembered, a book of photographs depicting notable Columbus scenes as they looked in 1960 and as they look now. Bilgere, this year's Ohioana Helen & Laura Krout Memorial Poetry Award winner, will read from Haywire, his most recent collection of poems. Giblin will read from Good Brother, Bad Brother: The Story of Edwin Booth and John Wilkes Booth, a biography of the Booth brothers that won this year's Ohioana Book Award for juvenile fiction.
