This is what we got this week:
One eggplant 8 oz green beans 1lb tomatoes 1 bunch sage 1 bunch leeks 8 oz potatoes 8 oz cucumber 3 ears corn
To be honest, we didn't do much cooking over the last week. The kitchen is mostly set up, though I still can't find my dishes. I cooked last night for the first time and used up the tomatoes and the peppers from last week. Tonight, I used up one of the tomatoes and three ears of corn from last week and made BLT's and corn on the cob. I think I'm going to make a potato, leek soup this week. If I had a mandolin, I'd totally make eggplant parm. Yum.
What's new with you guys? |

Unpacking is going slowly. The kitchen is mostly done, but I'm missing the boxes containing the dishes, silverware and some of our pots and other stuff. I know it's in the pile of boxes in the second bedroom, but who knows where. Anyway, I'm enjoying my vacation of finding places for everything, putting off a trip to Ikea, finishing the Dune series and generally relaxing. How are you doing? |

Lemon-Lime + Strawberry Gatorade is not a delicious drink to start out your morning.
Also, I think the sugar is making me a little sick.
Now back to our regularly scheduled packing. |

Of Peter's junk closet, we find
BRAND NEW TOASTER!!!!
The toaster is so old that the tape from the original packaging has no adhesive properties left.
I'm very happy about this, I've missed grilled bread. No grilled bread make the Faux-eonix very, very sad.
Back to packing. |

My lunch today was gross. We went to the newly re-opened Soleil Cafe. I ordered a buffalo chicken wrap.
I got a grilled chicken breast with undercooked rice that had been mixed with buffalo sauce and wrapped up in a cold tortilla.
It was gross. I do not recommend them. |

I'm hungry and have a raging headache. The two may or may not be related. |
