Would you be up for participating in a holiday fic exchange?
Since, in hindsight, I think that two days just isn't enough time for a proper ficathon, I'll be extending the IDoF comment ficathon to midnight EST NEXT Sunday, July 26th.
Click here to prompt and write.
If you know anyone who might be interested in this challenge, please pimp this out!
Prompting:
1. Post each prompt in a separate comment.
2. Post as many prompts as you like. The more prompts, the more variety we get with the fic responses.
3. Prompts should be posted in this format: pairing, prompt word or phrase, so it’s easier to categorize.
4. All types of prompts are accepted. If you find a picture or a lyric/song you want to use, feel free to link it.
5. The term “pairing” is used loosely. Threesomes and moresomes are completely acceptable!
The first comment is an example of how it should look. (Coincidentally, it’s also a real prompt ;D)
Guidelines for Writing:
1. Each fic should be posted as a reply to the prompting comment that you used as inspiration.
2. Your fic must be less than 4300 characters (including spaces) in order to be able to fit into one comment. If your fic turns out to be longer than that, just post a link to the rest of your fic (posted at your journal) in a comment in this post.
3. The subject line of your comment fics should look like this: Prompt, Title (Pairing) Rating.
4. All ratings are accepted: G – NC17. Just be sure to place that rating in the subject line.
5. More than one person can reply to the same prompt and you may write for a prompt that you yourself posted. Everything is for the taking.
6. Make sure you comment back to the fics posted here and let them know what you think, as you would review any fic. All writers appreciate feedback!
7. If you have any questions, email me at mamck@verizon.net.
8. Ficcing begins as soon as the first prompt is posted!
I’ll update the masterlist of prompts in this post as often as possible to keep it current.
Now get prompting and ficcing!
The challenge will end Sunday, July 26th at midnight EST.

Pam’s not sure if it’s an excuse or an invitation, even as the words leave her own mouth in a slurred breath, but suddenly Katy can’t stop giggling and it’s infectious.
The poll is now closed.
It appears that most members would prefer a comment fic challenge on the International Day of Femslash, July 18th. Tune in later for more details!
So the current count is in favor of comment fic for the July 18th IDoF challenge.
If any last minute stragglers want to slip in a vote, the poll is still open here. The key to making this challenge work is participation, and lots of it, so make sure to vote if you haven't already!
I'll be closing the poll tomorrow night, and which ever option has the most votes is the type of challenge we'll launch.
Until then,
femslash_today is still hosting their Fireworks09 porn battle, and there are tons of Office prompts.
