2 questions..

1. Does anyone know where I could get a nice purse? There's plenty of nice little coin purses about, but I need lots of card spact etc etc. I have no idea where to get one? Checked a few obvious sites but there doesn't seem to be anything. All really uninspiring!

2. Has anyone used that L'Oreal "Beauty Tubes" mascara. I don't get it.. a tube that goes around each eyelash?? Is it any good? I always think I have finally found "the one" with a mascara then after a few weeks I decide that it's shit again..

Cheeeers :)

I want to order a Vivienne Westwood necklace but I don't know whether to order it from hervia.com or the official site - does it make a difference? I am really wary of fakes but hervia.com looks legit and has the colour choice I want.

Please help a girl out x

First off, I have checked the memories. I was wondering, if anyone could recommend a fitness video that isn't akin to having your face molested by a dentist's drill?

I've tried Pump It Up (the mental Ministry of Sound one), which was great, except I found it difficult because it involved your arms and legs doing different things simultaneously. Fuck that, I'm not some kind of all-singing, all-dancing wonder-fattie. Additionally, I don't own a Wii so Wii-fit would be an expensive option.

Anything else, or should I just try and chase my tail all day?
Cheers! :)

lingerie/shoes

hello there everybody. I have two questions:

1. I'm looking for wonder woman lingerie. ideally, the kind that rachel bilson wears in that episode of the o.c. I know it's amazingly ~tacky~, but it's on my boy's, uh, wishlist, and I don't know where to start looking for something like that.

2. pointy indie boy 1980s shoes, maybe with a little stack heel... but for girls? tom waits-style, maybe. any ideas? I've googled very inventively but with no luck.

if anyone can help with these very vague requests, thank you!
xxx

bloody shaving. GRR.

Two questions -

01. Whenever I shave, the day after I get red bumps on my legs. It's not ingrown hairs, or from where I've caught my skin or anything, its just red bumps. Theres nothing THERE but redness. They're all over the bottom of my legs, particularly around my knees. Has anyone experienced this? I started using those venus razors with soap built onto the razor about... a month ago maybe? & it has been within the last month that I've noticed it. What razors do you girls use? Waxing is a no no, I'm open to hair removal cream though.

While I'm at it, just wondering what was best for the bikini area? I would like to try a cream, due to the fact I wouldnt ever try waxing as the pain / growing hair out / fact I'm a fat girl & it could get difficult, all puts me off. So, tips / best routines youve found? Thanks

Any help would be great. Thanks!

I've finally got around to buying two pairs of coloured tights after being incredibly bored with wearing black all the time, so I opted for two dark colours to slowly ween myself from the black.

Any suggestions on what kind of colours (especially shoes) to wear with bitter chocolate brown and dark forrest green?
Leeds

The Leeds communities on Livejournal are crap, so I'm asking for advice here.

I am moving to Leeds for university (Leeds College Of Art and Design) in September.
I need to move in to somewhere that will accommodate my cat and my long term boyfriend (who will be working full time), so halls such as The Plaza, Royal Park etc. are out of the question.
I am paying 400pcm for a 2 bedroomed terraced house in Manchester, so I'm looking for a similar deal in Leeds.
Onto the questions:

1. What are your views on living in Harehills? Opinions on Hyde Park, Kirkstall, Headingley and Beeston would be useful too. I am going to Leeds College Of Art and Design, so anywhere that has good transport links in to the centre of Leeds is useful.

2. I found http://www.intercity-accommodation.co.uk/ on gumtree, which has quite a few interesting properties on there. Has anybody got experience with them? The website is quite basic, so I feel a little wary of them.

3. Do you know of any reputable agencies specifically designed for helping students find accommodation outside of halls in Leeds? Unipol and Gumtree have been useful so far.

Support tights!!

Due to having a boring sit-down office job and terrible circulation in my legs anyway, I reckon I need to get some support tights! I got a great pair a few years ago (can't remember where from though!) but despite being "natural" they are actually rather orange and look out of place against the rest of my paper white body! So - to the point: does anyone know where to get medium or higher support support tights in either black and a high denier (over 40 den - the only ones I have seen are like 10/15 denier black :( ), or natural, but fair coloured and not orange??

TIA!
one of my best friends from university is turning 21 soon, which is a pretty big milestone i reckon? but as i've only just finished my first year i obviously haven't known her that long, and none of my friends has turned 21 yet, so i have nooo idea what should i get her!

i'm already going to get her a few joke-y things, but i'd like to get her something "proper" too.
any ideas would be really appreciated!! thank you :)

open days and excuses.

unbelievably, we haven't broken up yet. it's my school sports day on monday and ridiculously it is compulsory for me to go despite the fact i am not competing or helping out. are there any uni open days on this monday the 21st of July? if i claim to be ill i need a doctors letter, and i dont want to waste my time or the doctors time pretending to have some sort of ailment. or is there another excuse i can use? sorry, this is very petty but i would appreciate input a lot, because there will be consequences if i just dont turn up, my school is like that.

Hair - a bit eww

OK, I apologies in advance for this. I am under major stress at the moment and have noticed that whenever I wash my hair, some (more than usual) seems to fall out in my hands. I have also noticed my eyebrows shedding a bit too. I know it's manky, but I'm terrified. Any suggestions on anything I could do to help it? I think it's only a temporary thing, and hopefully when I'm less stressed it'll go away. My friend suggested those herbal supplements you can get from Holland&Barrett etc but do they actually work?
