Unexpected Much
The title of the comic has a double meaning this week. Jaymie is surprised and so is everyone that actually still reads the comic...yep two updates in one week. I'd better pace myself or I could get hurt. The new character in this comic has actually existed for the last two years now and I've been bugged ceaselessly about when he would finally make an appearance. Well here he is. Compliments Are Fun
So, theoretically there will be an update at some point this week. I finished it and uploaded it, but for some reason comicgenesis (formally know as keenspace) is once again having log-in issues. If I can't get the issues sorted out then hopefully it will auto update. If I remember correctly I have it set to do it MWF, but it could just be Friday. Dance!...sort of...
Well, it's a Friday and...guess what...there's a comic (or at least there should be by morning...stupid uploading queue). I decided on the chibi (mini) style for this one because drawing Jaymie trying to dance would have taken far too long otherwise. This was also done completely on the computer from drawing to coloring so it took much less time. I won't make a habit of it, but I'm happy with the way this simple style turned out. Also, I have a new avatar...this is my confused squirrel friend. The best squirrel ever! In other news, I will finally be moving into my new apartment this Saturday. Vertically Challenged
Yay, only two weeks and another comic. Please disregard the crappy background. And now for something to occupy your time: A car travels downhill at 72 m.p.h. (miles per hour), on the level at 63 m.p.h., and uphill at only 56 m.p.h. The car takes 4 hours to travel from town A to town B. The return trip takes 4 hours and 40 minutes. Establishing Shot
*Blows the dust off the old Live Journal* *cough* *cough* Yup, it's been a while. So, I have three perfectly good panels from what was going to be the next page all drawn up, but decided that I needed something before it. Something called an establishing shot. Granted...it's not a very good one and we all get to see how much I suck at perspective, but whatever. It had to be done. It originally started as "Oh, I'll do a quick page in Photoshop". You know, bypass all the drawing, erasing, inking, scanning, cleaning up image, etc that normally occurs. Yeah, it still took about the same amount of time...which is sad because it doesn't look all that great. Any way, enough about that. With any luck I'll get the next page up next week and maybe find a schedule for the comic again. Definitely not MWF, but something... Oh and, yay! Wait...She Said She Likes It?
See, it was only a week...or so...after the filler that I managed to post an actual comic. Go me. Well, the stage is set for the next little bit of story. I'll try not to slack on the background, but drawing the inside of a club is going to be interesting. Some new characters are going to show up. This, of course, means I'll have to update the character page...I don't think I've made any changes to that page in at least a year or so...that is so sad... Also, I was trying something new with the girls' hair...I'm not sure if it will continue, but it was fun to do. And, no, not all cowboys wear shirts like that... Nobody Understands
Oh look, it's back...and it's in color. I figured that it would be a good idea to put it in color since I was being lame and not posting as many black and white comics as I wanted to. I think at this point I am just going to switch back and forth between the two styles depending on how I'm feeling. Back to the color...I tried something new with the character's eyes. Instead of all black I decided to add color...I'm wondering what the opinion on it is. *listens to the whistling wind* *cough* Also, just in case anyone is interested I now have a myspace account here .
