Late buses?
Did anyone have some very late buses yesterday? My 137 was 10 minutes late, and my 95 was 15 minutes later (in which three buses should have gone by in that time). I barely managed to make it to class. My 95 was completely packed as were leaving Place D'Orleans.

You'd think people would figure this out by now...

Any day that the weather isn't perfect, there are going to be delays because people in this city don't know how to drive and panic at the slightest trace of precipitation.

Any time there's any sort of accumulation like today, there's pretty much an accident happening at every major intersection in town.

Hence any bus route that sets its wheels on public streets at any point is going to get delayed because of it.

But yesterday late morning the weather was really warm and nice. Snow did start until later in the evening. That's why I'm wondering.

Once again, yesterday during the late morning (around 10am) the weather was warm and no snow was falling.

Anything, anywhere, anytime, for no reason at all. (FZ)

If there's a minor accident almost anywhere near the transitwait (or a dead bus for that matter) EVERYTHING slows to a brutal crawl. If people would not cover the intersection trying to get through a stale yellow (thus blocking everyone else's green) things might move along a little quicker, sadly this often occurs. On a "good" day (aka no dead cars or buses) I'm 10-12 minutes down after going through 4 flags in the PM rush (Bay-Kent-Bank-Metcalfe) if there's anything out of the ordinary I'm screwed, could be 20-30 down by the time I get to Hurdman. Sad but true. Everyone who passes through the downtown corridor is in the same leaky boat. Fact of life.

I waited nearly 15 minutes for a westbound 95 at St-Laurent during the PM peak hours yesterday. While waiting, 6 eastbound 95s went by.

A 95X Baseline finally came with a 95 Strandherd right behind it, and to my surprise, they weren't jammed pack. I arrived at my destination on time, so it all worked out in the end.

there are a bunch of random artic's breaking down continually these days because of the increased bad weather this winter. be prepared for less service because of the poor maintainence on the vehicles and the scheduled [badly] maintainence that is forthcoming.

you know that there are few 40'ers on the 95 route regardless of weather. thats why of the delay. today alone i saw 2 broken down 95's [i assume with the amount of people waiting outside the OS artic] along the transitway and 2 yesterday.
