Hello Everyone,

At this time, I’m not accepting memberships to obsessive_caps but rather leaving them on hold. This has nothing to do with fandom, behavior in the comm, wank, people, etc. Everyone in this comm has been wonderful.

Earlier this week, my web host decided to take down my domain after misinterpreting copyright law. After talking with their legal department, they admit that I haven’t broken the law but are unwilling to leave the site up. Not only that, in taking the site down, they managed to delete over 60GB of data that was housed on the doctorwho.swirlytie.com domain. According to their ToS, I am supposed to be able to retrieve the data but someone, somewhere has screwed up.

I will have to reconstruct the Doctor Who portion of the site as their backups are also incomplete and/or corrupt. In short, it will be little better than starting from scratch.

Since the entire reason for joining the comm is access to caps, I feel that adding anyone until I have transferred the domain is counterproductive. If you would still like to be added and just wait until the process is complete, please comment at my personal journal and I'll go ahead and add you.

This is temporary. I'm nothing if not stubborn. Once all images are back in place and the domain is transfered, I will start adding new members.

3. I will post thumbnails with the screencap posts. If you have not seen the episodes, you will be spoiled. I will not change this policy as it would mean redoing all the posts again several days after posting the original set. This is a massive undertaking. If you do not want to be spoiled, do not friend the comm or filter it off
4. You may not redistribute the RAR files without my permission nor may your give out the server accounts listed in the posts. Doing this will result in being banned and the accounts will be disabled. If someone wants access, vouch for them or direct them here. Unless I have banned or pre-emptively banned them, I’ll consider adding them.
5. David Tennant is hot and if you bash him, the gods of hotnessThis is a comm for David Tennant material, mostly. I am currently capping S1 of Who and some of Billie’s stuff but for the most part, this comm will host caps of David Tennant. It is not a shipper comm.

Behavior:
This is not a discussion community. If you have a strong opinion about the writing, the story line, if you think David Tennant had a bad hair day {that's a banning offense ;)}, I suggest you post it in your journal. This is not doctorwho and I do not intend it to be a comm of that nature. I am not looking to mod ‘discussions’ about episodes nor am I prepared to send people to their separate corners in an effort to maintain peace. Got it? Good. I’m not going to harsh on squee but I’m not going to suffer asshattery disguised as ‘discussion about serious issues in Who.’ Some folks will comment in any comm for the sake of wank. Not here.

Along those lines, you may not bash characters or actors under any circumstances. I mean it. And please, don’t try to dress it up using other language. I will ban you. This comm was closed for 4 months because I simply didn't want to deal with it.

Commenting/Usage:
1. If you take, please comment. I don’t require it but it’s nice to know who is taking what.
2. If you use, please credit either obsessive_caps or larissa_j . This is the polite thing to do.
3. If you find a broken link or image, please notify me so I can fix it. Often, I move stuff and forget to make changes in both journals. It happens.
