All-Gender Housing--Can someone explain what this is?
So I read the Oberlin Review articles last year, but I still don't get what all-gender housing means. Is it where members of the opposite sex can live with each other? Kind of an expansion on Gender-Mixed Dorms? I apologize for being so unaware, but I'd love an explanation. Thanks!

Shortly, yes. That is, where members of the opposite sex can be roommates.

And people who consider themselves to be without gender.

The whole gender binary thing doesn't go over well at Oberlin, really.
You know you've been there a while when you're surprized that eatting establishments bother having seperate restrooms labeled "men" and "women"... or even stranger dichotomies, like "Men" and "Ladies"

That's why I used the word sex in my definition. I realize it also has to do with trans issues.

It's very cute when people try to be inclusive but don't know what they're talking about... if you're going to do it, inform yourself first...
