FOUND Card w/Tickets at Atlantic Antics Street Fair

Hey everyone. We found a birthday card today at the Atlantic Antics street fair in Brooklyn with tickets inside. The card was from "Dave." We're looking for the owner and thought perhaps we'd have some luck on this community (already posted in Craigslist). If it is you - please respond to this with what the tickets were for and what the card had on it, and we'll arrange for the card and tickets to be returned! If you know of someone named Dave who had a father with a nearby birthday and might've been at the Atlantic Antic street fair - please spread the word.

If anyone has any more ideas on how we can get this back to the owner, please share! Thanks.

I'm from Canada, and looking to make another trip down to NYC soon.

I stayed at the Candy Hostel last time, and though I found it more then adequate, it was a little expensive. Can anyone suggest a safe, clean hostel in the city? I really have no need for anything special, just a place to rest my head without worrying about catching something or being robbed.

Thanks in advance for any and all help!

affordable diploma framing?

Hello!

I want to have my diplomas matted and framed nicely. I don't need top of the line frame services, but something professional would be great. (E.g. Not from KMart) I could probably spend $200-$300. Can anyone suggest a good place to get diplomas (3 if it matters) matted and framed? I can hopstop it, but I'd appreciate the name of the place, address, and approx price if possible...

Thanks!

Hi everyone,
I'm an NYU psychology master's student and I'm working on my thesis. I have put together an on line survey to investigate the relationship between religious beliefs and gender role attitudes. (I'm including Atheism, so don't shy away if you're an Atheist, though a few of the questions will seem irrelevant to you. For those you can respond with something like "NA, I'm an Atheist".) It's a short survey (it's free) and it would help me tremendously if you filled it out and spread the word, but please only fill it out once!

Click here to take my survey!

Thank you!!
Jenna B

What the editor, Jo Ann
Duggins, and I are trying to do is provide a cozy spot with cheap
drinks we're people trying to get things done in the world can - get
this: talk to each other and have a good time. That's right: Bringing
back the art of conversation.,....

So, this month for entertainment we are initiating the very first
SideShow ShowDown - where two sideshow artist will battle over three
rounds and the audience will choose the winner. The winner will then
be back in Dec. to battle the next eager contestant... and on and on
we go throughout next year until NYC has voted on the best SideShow
artist in town.

For those of you who don't know - SideShow artist perform outrageous
feats such as sword swallowing, glass eating, fire breathing,....and
on and on... stuff you cant even imagine! So, come out this Thursday
for happy hour (flier attached with all the details) and watch a night
not to be missed.

I am going to an engagement party next friday that calls for 'cocktail attire', and sadly I do not own a suit.

Also I am in the middle of an apartment hunt and don't want to spend all that much money.

So I am looking for a decent place to go to get a suit, for not a terribly huge amount.
Greyhound?

Not exactly free (and I know someone's always starting an entry off this way -right?) but I was wondering if anyone would be willing to share their greyhound experiences with me? I'm taking a trip down to FL next week and although the flights actually seem marginally cheaper right now, the timing and location is a little off so I was considering bus. I've never used it - especially for such a long long trip - but was thinking maybe I'd enjoy the scenery (if possible?) and the time to think/write or whatever.

I'm actually in Staten Island so the closest airport is Newark but is still a hassle and I have no experience with getting to JFK Airport - so if you have any feedback on that trip (I would actually probably try to go from downtown Brooklyn - Cobble Hill) that would be great too! I'm heading for St. Pete Florida but the cheapest flights only go to Tampa and since I'd need a ride on a Friday night, most people I know won't be able to pick me up for that (hence considering the train/bus because they have stops actually in St.Pete/Clearwater). Either way I'm really trying to spend as little as possible and it seems that if I take a cheaper flight I'll still have to end up paying for car service, so this is why I'm trying to weigh the pro's and con's.

Thanks!

Edit: You all are great!
