AboutWelcome to Numb3rs Fandom Recommendations, a pro-active recommendation community for everything Numb3rs -- Fan Fiction, Graphics, Music Videos, Websites, Episodes . . .
I’ve been thinking about doing something like this for a while, and when![[info]](http://l-stat.livejournal.com/img/community.gif)
ncisficrecs was recently created, I decided that there was no time like the present. This community will be a combination of the various rec communities across LiveJournal, based mainly on my experiences with crack_van, ![[info]](http://l-stat.livejournal.com/img/userinfo.gif)
ds_recs and ds_recsredux.
So how is this going to work?
We’re going to alternate themed rec challenges with assigned rec’ers and open rec weeks on a weekly basis. New weeks begin on Mondays.
A. Themed Rec Challenges: On Monday we will post the theme for that week and you can help your fellow Numb3rs fen by posting up to three recs in response to that themed challenge.
1. Your recs can all be saved up and made in one post, or made in separate posts as you find them.
2. You may re-rec a fic, vid etc that has already been rec’d under another theme or by an assigned rec’er so long as it fits the theme.
3. Subject line: The names of the fic, vids, etc that you’re rec’ing, separated by commas.
4. Use the following format by copying and pasting it into your post. If you’re rec’ing a vid or an episode, tweak the code as needed.
B. Assigned Rec’ers: You may sign up for a week all your own to recommend your favorite . . . well, anything having to do with Numb3rs. Share with us the first fic you read! Talk about your top five episodes or your favorite scenes! Tell us who your favorite character is, and why! Link us up with your favorite fic, vids, icons! Share your favorite screencaps or promo shots! Pimp your favorite author or pairing! *takes a breath* You get the idea, right? We want everything Numb3rsbecause Numb3rs are everything!
1. You may make up to seven recs (that’s one a day for your week), with a minimum of three. If you’ve snagged a week, we figure you want to do some serious rec’ing, right? *g* [Clarification: that’s seven individual recs, not seven posts, or seven themes.]
2. We know RL can sometimes get in the way of fandom, so if you’ve signed up for a week and can’t do it, please contact us so we can get someone else for that week, or substitute a themed challenge.
3. Subject Line: no hard and fast rules except be descriptive. Let us know if you’re rec’ing a fic or an episode, or doing a character essay.
4. For rec’ing fic, use the following format by copying and pasting it into your post. If you’re rec’ing a vid or an episode, tweak the code as needed.
C. Open Rec Week: Because sometimes you want to rec a fic (or episode or vid or website...) without waiting for it to fit a particular theme, the last Monday of each month will start open rec week, which means you can rec anything you want without being limited to a challenge theme. Just read a great Megan Reeves fic, but missed the Megan Reeves Challenge week? Rec it here! Just re-watch an episode that made your heart swell with love for these characters? Rec it here! Just see the most amazing vid and you don’t want to wait for it to be Larry/Charlie week? Rec it here!
