I am on a mission to produce more AU/AR, Crossovers and Crack fic in the Gen and Het categories for the 2010numb3rs_awards. Those seem to be the hardest categories to fill and I hate to see categories remain empty. (I'm also pushing for more Het Threesomes, but that's a challenge for a different comm.)
To this end, I will be introducing FIVE challenges (Sorry, Jo) through 2009. The first two have already been thrown.
Challenge One in this Noble Quest is a cross-over challenge. It's different because it's Het and Slash (No Gen allowed!) I've created thenumb3rs_xovers especially for that, as this is a Gen and Het community. The challenge there is to create a Numb3rs Cross-Over story that incorporates crime solving, numbers crunching and sex.
Challenge Two is The Game Show/Reality Show Crossover. This one should be fun. Haven't you wondered how Larry would do on Jeopardy? Or how David would do on Wheel of Fortune? :-D
The deadline to qualify for the 2010 round at the Numb3rs Awards is Jan. 22, 2010. So that will be the deadline for these challenges. (The idea that 2010 is just around the corner is darn scary, yes/no?)

Please remember, this is a gen & het site, so please, no slash. However, if you chose to write a slash fiction based on this challenge, feel free to post a link. I'm curious as to what you come up with.

Note about Numb3rs Gen Het: The use of strong language, specifically the 'f-word' IS PERMITTED in this comm as long as it's not used to excess.
Oh, yes. I forgot to mention that you really should use cut lines. To do that, put
< lj-cut > at the beginning of the main part of your story and < /lj-cut > at the end. (Be sure to remove the spaces between < and >.
If you want the title of your story to appear, then you can put < lj-cut text="title" > at the beginning. Again, be sure to remove the extra spaces inside the brackets.
