WELCOME TO NP GREATER WORLD
You've stumbled upon a world in the year 2007. Voldemort and his followers are growing in strength and numbers, and attacks are growing throughout England, and possibly the rest of the world. People go missing everyday, and others turn up dead. And yet, there are many who simply try to go about their daily lives, never sure when or where evil might strike next.

Official Backstory
Current Members of Now Playing must have friended np_officials and np_dumbledore. These are VERY important for receiving news about current plots, announcements of new policies, etc. Additionally, you should keep an eye on the np_dailyprophet, which will provide your character with information about the situation of the war, the weather, and upcoming Hatchy and the Numbers concerts. Our Out of Character communities for you to join include np_chatter, a place to chat about characters, post funny icons, etc., and np_plotting, our community for RPing and plotting future/backstories.

T H E   R U L E S

+ 1. There is no Harry Potter! In fact, there are NO canon characters with the exception of Dumbledore, Voldemort & the Hogwarts ghosts, which will be either played or NPCd by NP Mods. Thus, your pureblood is not related to the Malfoys, and your Gryffindor does not shop at Weasley's Wizard Wheezes.

+ 2. Week change every second Monday at 12:01am EST.

+ 3. Put the date/time of your thread in your subject lines.

+ 4. Please remember that posting order is in effect. You must take turns posting with others. If you're in a thread with two others, you must set up between yourselves the order in which you can post "your turn."

+ 5. If you are in a thread, please note that people do make plans, so don't cause another player to be stuck. Please inform players if you are unable to reply.

If you puppet another's character you must keep the puppeting minimal and true to the character's personality. Do not do anything to/with that character if it will result in either harming or altering said character.

+ 6. We are open to applications for a second character AFTER you have been RPing your first for a month. As always, if we find the activity of your first character to be, well, mostly inactive, then we have the right to reject your application on that basis. Players are allowed to apply for only one character per community (Ministry, Atlas, Hogwarts) per month.

+ 7. Major plots, changes in character, crazy antics, and other such things (eg. potions gone wrong, more advanced magic) MUST go through the mods first! You can do this at the Plot Permission Post.

+ 8. This RPG is rated PG-15. Do not exceed this rating IG under any circumstances. For specifics on what is or is not allowed, please refer to this post.

+ 9. Character journals are not canon until mentioned IG.

+ 10. Mary Sues. Just don't.

If you think something may be against the rules, please don't hesitate in contacting the Mods. Rule breaking is NOT tolerated. You'll receive one warning, and any further rule breaking will result in the removal of your character from the game.

To begin playing, READ THE RULES, request membership to np_platform, and once you are approved make a new entry with your character's name as the SUBJECT, then await a reply from a mod. Please check the Student Rosters, here to get a idea of students currently at Hogwarts.
