Word Count for Thursday 8th May 2008
What? I'm first again? That doesn't feel right.

If you're not failing every now and again its a sign you're not doing anything very innovative. Woody Allen.

' . . . every now and again . . .' I like that. Every now and again.

Well, how did you dare to fail today, and to what extent?

Sound Off!

1002 words today, bringing Bothal up to 54010, and the protagonists are about to enter the antagonist's ruined castle to rescue the fair maid who is the special child's mother. Nastiness awaits.

I don't feel as though I've got the energy even to fail today.

You have no energy, but you still got 1002. That's heroic.

That's taken two days, so on target, but not up to my usual pace as tiredness has kicked in this week.
But, tomorrow is FRIDAY!! Yay!

On target is enough. Sometimes we have to listen to the tiredness.

I'm not sure that's quite the sort of failure Saint Woody meant. More the heroic leap and falling short with fingernails scraping down the cliff face of inevitability rather than standing on the edge of the precipice twiddling one's lower lip. Mockery.

OMG I have to print it out and stick over my screen to look at every day and remeber how painful that is.

And I just found out my MC doesn't react normally because of an implant she has in her head, turning her into a robot... what just happened? I thought it was a simple story about someone who's trying to remember her past... great...

First time I'm so far in a story, so no intention of failling this time.

I fail, too.

I would mind if it was an interesting failure, if it was a glorious attempt, but ultimately doomed. But it was just angst and distraction. Mock me!
