Writing - broken

[info]the_red_shoes in [info]novel_in_90

don't hurt me, but....

....all right, I know our numbers have fallen off a tiny bit and the majority of us are either crowing with triumph or burnt out to the max, but so uh, yeah, this round's almost over. I am stuck in the Dread Middle of the (Fucking) Book, so I'm going to sign up (yes this is my way of nailing myself to the church door, so to speak) for Round 2, which I assume is going to go April-May-June. (Oh Christ why why.) I can't bear abandoning this thing after putting this much work into it, and I can't bear just crapping out the last half-week or so of this round, so I'm gearing myself up to push on. Who wants to live forever! Are you with me, dogfaces?

(More seriously who's thinking of doing another round? Anybody? Bueller?)

Addendum If I've been keeping correct count (which is HIGHLY dubious, trust me, I am such the stereotypical numbers-phobic English major type it hurts) the 90th day is March 30th. Do we start anew on March 31st, or is that too annoying and would people prefer to start on April 1 or does it matter or no?

Weekly word count - week 12 (3/18 - 3/24)

IIiiiiiiii do not see a weekly word count for last week (week 12, Tuesday the 18th - Monday the 24th) and I know the netiquette for our comm (at least I think the netiquette for the comm) is the person who finishes first on that day posts the sound-off, but I sort of can't tell who was first (unless it's [info]ammonite7's baby, and if so, just tell me and I'll wipe this).

But truly, I cannot resist posting the weekly soundoff for last week because my wordcount was a great big ZERO. That's right, have some tasty warm Schadenfreude pie with a heavy sauce of Irony! Flavoured with crunchy frog. At least it ain't gonna be zero for the LAST week.

So, I bet everyone got a higher wordcount than me last week! Let me be the low bar y'all can rise above! ( -- seriously, I can delete this, if [info]ammonite7 wants the honour.)

How much it takes to become a writer. Bent (far more common than we assume), circumstances, time, development of craft -- but beyond that: how much conviction as to the importance of what one has to say, one's right to say it. And the will, the measureless store of belief in oneself to be able to come to, cleave to, find the form for one's own life comprehensions. -- Tillie Olsen

Round 6?

So it's March 28th. Round ends any minute now. From here, I think it's time to start advertising for Round 6, right? :) Or is it Year 2 Round 2?

Either way, I'm in. ;)

Fool-ish idea

Okay, if this is too silly, feel free to kick me, but how about--

A Fools' Day's Challenge!

Write a short (NOT MORE than 750 words!) story in your 'verse, so we could get to know a brief glimpse at your characters and the world you created. Make it as foolish as you'd like. And post it here on the Fool's Day! We have one spare day (March 31st), as [info]the_red_shoesnoticed, so why don't we waste it on that? :)
