| About: | Books Inc started NOT YOUR MOTHER'S BOOKCLUB because we wanted teenagers in our neighborhood to have a chance to hang out with some amazing authors and meet other people who love to read. In the past year we have grown tremendously and we have had some fantastic guests. We've also started satellite programs with several local schools to bring even more authors to meet teenagers!

That isn't even a complete list, and it's only been a year!
We realize that there are a lot of people who want to be in on the club but who don't necessarily live in San Francisco. This is their chance!
This community is for those in 7th-12th grade. Authors, librarians, booksellers, teachers, and those who just love teen books are also WELCOME, but contests and other special treats are for those in grades 7-12 only. This will be a space where we can meet each other, meet authors, talk about new books, post book reviews, post stories, and generally have fun.
Please be aware that posts in this community may be inappropriate for children under 13.
If you are not a LiveJournal member, you can still comment anonymously, but please sign your name so we know who you are! If you don't feel like joining LiveJournal but you want to post, you can email me your reviews or whatever and I will post them for you. NYMBC @ booksinc . net (only without the spaces).
