Nature's first green is gold

In 1981, Harry Potter saved the Wizarding world by defeating Voldemort. This victory was not without its costs. Sirius Black was imprisoned, Peter Pettigrew was assumed dead and the Potters left their only son behind to be raised by callous relatives.

When Harry was eleven, he learned that he was a Wizard and, more importantly, he learned that he was expected to save the Wizarding world again.

Her hardest hue to hold

Every year, from his First Year at Hogwarts to his last, Harry Potter faced either Voldemort or his minions and came out of these encounters victorious. These victories were not without their costs. Cedric Diggory, Sirius Black, Albus Dumbledore all lost their lives to the Dark Lord or his minions.

Harry remained the same as he was, committed to defeating the evil that had killed his family and friends.

Her early leaf's a flower

In the midst of his last year, Harry beat back Voldemort and the Death Eaters until, finally, he approached Malfoy Manor with Ron and Hermione at his side and the remains of the DA and the Order of the Phoenix at his back.

They were assured of victory.

But only so an hour

What they didn't count on was the betrayal from the inside, from one so trusted that the future actions were never even considered. The Death Eaters were aware of their plans and met the Order and DA accordingly. The Final Battle was brutal and casualties were high.

Harry went ahead to locate Voldemort and was unaware of the heavy losses or the betrayal.

Then leaf subsides to leaf.

While the Order and the DA battled for their lives, Harry met Voldemort and there the unthinkable occurred. Harry Potter lost to the Dark Lord, his body falling to the marble floors while his soul shuffled off its mortal coil.

Harry Potter died and the Wizarding world lost its only hope for salvation.

So Eden sank to grief

As the howls and cries of victory spread through the Death Eaters and their allies, the Order of the Phoenix and the DA fled for their lives, leaving behind their dead. Their losses were high – Dean Thomas, Seamus Finnigan, Molly Weasley, Arthur Weasley, Gawaiin Robards, Dedalus Diggle, Sturgis Podmore, Arabella Figg, Dennis Creevey, Ernie Macmillan, Michael Corner, Cho Chang, Penelope Clearwater, Eloise Midgen, Susan Bones and Katie Bell were all presumed dead.

Hogwarts was razed to the ground and during the takeover of the Ministry of Magic, Minister Rufus Scrimgeour died a brutal and horrific death. Minister Cornelius Fudge became the face of the new government.

So dawn goes down to day

It has been two years since Harry Potter died. Ron, Hermione and Ginny are in hiding, scattered to the four winds. Fred Weasley was blinded during the Final Battle and to protect his twin, George Weasley develops weapons for the new government.

Even as the Order tries to sabotage Voldemort's government, they are picked off one by one. Luna Lovegood was the first to be captured but she won't be the last.

Nothing gold can stay.

Life goes on in offices across Britain. Neutrality is the way of survival. The Order is slowly reassembling as Wizarding Britain adapts to their new government.
