For those things you that you when you say "Dear self...". Hopefully your little gem of knowledge will make someone laugh, or at least wiser. Thinly veiled community promotions (and not so thinly veiled) will be deleted with extreme prejudice. Posting something snotty regarding why your post was deleted is a short road to Ban-ville (if there wasn't a comment sent to you first regarding the deletion, email the maintainers).
