To: blue ghost Obi-Wan
From: Luke Skywalker
I was wondering if you could help me with a little problem I'm having. I know it's not exactly your area of expertise, but I don't know who else to turn to. See, there's this girl. I really like her, but I don't know how to tell her. It's not exactly like I've had much practice. You know what Tatooine's like. I hardly ever got away from my uncle's farm, and even if I did get to town, what girls my age were there were so wrapped up against the sand that you could hardly tell that they were female, much less what they looked like. So I hardly know what to say to a girl, particularly one as special as this girl.
So what do I do, Ben?

Luke, as much as I'd like to help you, I don't think I'd better even try. You couldn't know, but affairs of the heart are a subject where I feel I have no business interfering. I wasn't any good at that sort of thing years ago, and I doubt that I have any more wisdom about the subject now. Can't your friend Han advise you? He certainly seems like a man of the world to me.

Well, that's the problem. He likes this girl, too. He gives her a hard time, but I can see through that. That's why I need your advice. If I don't make a move soon, I'm going to lose her. And I don't think I could stand it. I don't know what it is, but I feel drawn to her like no one I've ever met before.

She certainly does sound special. Who is this girl?

Leia Organa. Isn't that a beautiful name? Almost as beautiful as she is, with her dark hair and eyes. Force, I sound stupid, don't I? I can't seem to help myself. She's all I can think about.

Ben? Are you there?

I'm here, son. I was just thinking.
You know, you are very young. It would probably be best to date a number of girls before tying yourself down with one person. What about that nice young rebel girl in cartography? She seems pleasant enough. Or what about...well, every one else in the rebel fleet does seem to be male. No matter. Have you thought about trying homosexuality? Just asking.

Sheesh. You act like almost anyone is better for me than Leia. Fine. I'll figure it out for myself.

I'm sorry, Ben. I should never have put you on the spot like that. I forgot. Jedi don't love. You can't advise me on something you've never known. Besides, I'm going to have to forget about thinking about her that way for a while, anyway. The situation is heating up down here, and I don't think either Han or I will have a chance with her until things settle down. I'll talk to you again, soon.
