AboutWe've all seen nonugly communities. You join, post your picture, and you're either accepted by votes of the other members, or torn to shreds. Right? Right.
This is different (kinda). Join. Post your picture. But tell us about yourself! What you like to do, things you like, how you interact with other people – Tell and show us how much of a geek you are. Because here, it's not completely based what's on the outside... it's who you are that will sway the decision.
This community is run by its members. The mods are only here to keep things clean for you guys. So join, and give your ideas! Make this a place that you want to be.
Applications are reviewed for a week, sorta. If you apply on a Thursday, results will be posted the following Friday, so on and so forth.

geek n : a person with an unusual or odd personality [syn: eccentric, different, oddball]It doesn't matter what brand of geek you are; band nerd, computer programmer, sex hound, emo kid, video game dork... come as you are. Only the cool kids hang around here. ^_~ No worries if you cosplay every weekend, or don't know the meaning of the word. Hakuna matata if video games make you puke, and you'd rather curl up with a classic film. Geeks come in all different colours.

Rules
- As soon as you join, post some clear pictures and your "about me" stuff (read above). This is an open application, so you have all the freedom in the world – as long as you get the job done. Please use an LJ-cut for the courtesy of our members. As with all rating communities, if you're caught lurking for a long while without applying, you'll be removed. Second time, you'll be banned.
- Please do not comment on a post not your your own without a stamp.
- Hating will result in banning. Period.
- Once you're stamped, tell us something new to add to our community interests list. Anything you like . . . expand our horizons! Or something.
- Non-members arguing with members is a no-no. I think that'd be common sense. First offense will get you a warning, second will get you a banination. No questions.
- If your application is rejected, you can reapply in a month! We love us new applicants. We may love to vivisect them, but it's still love!
- Editing your application is super-duper. Deleting your application is banination behaviour.
- Once you receive your wonderous, stupendous, breathtaking stamp, go to the entry in the memories (or HERE) and post a link to your stamped entry. This is checked once every month or so – if you aren't listed in the memories, out ya go ^.~
