| About: | Welcome to the Nonfiction Writer's Month Community! This is a place for writers of nonfiction to get some of the same motivation/support as ![[info]](http://p-stat.livejournal.com/img/community.gif){kind=small} nanowrimo folks find there.The Goals: Goal A: Write a piece of nonfiction* per day for the month of February and/or Goal B: Write 25,000 words of nonfiction (in one or many pieces) over the month of February A few posting guidelines: * What is nonfiction? Anything you'd find in the nonfiction shelves of a library. Poetry, folktale retellings, personal memoir/essay, family stories, personal recipies, history lessons, political rants, song lyrics, smut based on actual experience or your or others' fantasy, religious/spiritual musings, art review, movie or book critiques, parody or satire. Pretty much anything that isn't a short story, novella or novel. 1) This is an open community. If you can play well with others and stay on topic, you're welcome here. 2) This is a place for tracking your success, finding motivation, and sharing your work for reading and/or critique. However, please don't feel compelled to post your work; if you just want to keep us informed of word count/daily success, that's cool, too. 3) Please put all works more than 5 lines long behind an lj-cut. Really. Also, give folks a heads-up if an entry contains anything hardcore; some of us check LJ at work. 4) If you post your work, please let us know if constructive critique is desired or accepted. For readers: no means no, and respect is your byword. And that's about it. I tend towards laissez faire management styles, so I'll stay out of anything that isn't escalating into LJ Drama.
