I know, from the last post in this community, that people know about the new Superman song. I love that song so much. Ugh, SR-71, Mitchy...<3

But have you guys heard the "My World Part 2"? I love that song, too. But in my opinion, I still like the original one better. You can find it, right now, on Mitch's Blog on MySpace.

On another note, does anyone know when his new album will be released? Or maybe I missed it when I looked over his blog.

so...if you go to Mitch's MySpace page, he's redone the songs. I've always said that my FAVORITE song he's EVER written was a song called "Superman". Yes, there's a huge story behind it but you'll get the jist of it when you hear the chorus go, "i dont want to be superman, he wants to be me".

Well, i've always asked mitch when he was gonna put it on a record and he said "it will be on my next CD..and it's gonna be on another CD that I can't say yet". Well...it's now confirmed...

"SUPERMAN" IS GOING TO BE ON THE SOUNDTRACK TO THE NEW SUPERMAN MOVIE COMING OUT THiS COMING SUMMER!!!!!!!!!!!!

I've always said that his version of "in your eyes" is the best song ever recorded but this is the best song he's EVER written!!!

If you want to hear it, go to www.myspace.com/mitchallan and you can hear it on the player. I was the first one to play it! yay!!! haha And i even left him comments (my sn there is Vicious and Delicious Doll)

The first SR-71 I ever heard was "Politically Correct," and I heard it on a radio station that has long since closed. Browsing around online, I found the lyrics "every white line says goodbye" on someone's personal page as a favorite quote.

4 years later, I remembered it, tracked it down, got "Alive" and here we are :)

Oh, pictures aren't of SR-71 *sheepish* I didn't have time to go hunting for good quality pictures of the band, so I used others.

Haha this friend of mine is driving me nuts! I was talking about "1985" and she was like BFS!!! and i was like no, actually its an sr-71 song. And shes like no....and im like yeah, it was originally done by them and she was like w/e you say...

Ive forgotten all about sr-71 until a lil while ago when i found my old cd and now i love them again!!! Ive downloaded their newest cd and its great! I got into a fight w/ my friend tho beaucse when i mentioned them shes goes "I hate them, they copied sum41.." What the hell?! no.....

Hey everyone. My name is Julie, I'm new to the community. I just wanted to say that I LOVE SR-71/Mitch Allan, whatever you wanna call them, it's still the same band. LOL. But anyways, I made a trip from New Hampshire (where I live) to Maryland just to see SR-71 for the first time live. It was for their New Years Eve show. I didn't get to meet the guys except for Mike, but hopefully I'll be seeing them again sometime soon.

They had a 'No Flash' policy, so these are all gonna look really dumb. Some came out good and some came out horrible because I have a shakey hand, and the no flash thing really bit the dust because it's all fuzzy and distorted.

And for some fans who are wondering what's up with the whole CD thing. If you have Mitch's MySpace, in a recent post he made on his blog, he said they're going to be concentrating on getting the Mitch Allan CD finished. So, no shows for a while. However, Mike and his band Plunge are going on their '05 tour and you should go see them because they're amazing.

"Clawing My Way To The Middle", which is the title for Mitch's new CD, has no official release date or anything but he's said that he'll be concentrating on working on it, and he'll keep everyone that has his MySpace updated. What does everyone here thinking about Bowling For Soup getting recognition for a song (1985) that isn't even theirs. It really bugs me because so many people don't know who originally made the song and the orginal song is a whole lot better. Bowling For Soup is a bunch of posers who are getting popular off of someone else's song.

And also, what's the deal with "1985"?
It's SR71's song, but Bowling for Soup covered it, right?
If this is the case, why does no one ever bring that up?

Hey everybody. As you all know there is a show coming up on Oct. 2nd at Recher with SR-71 and Eleven:54. I'm selling tickets for Eleven:54 and I need to sell a lot of tickets in 2 weeks, so if you want any, or know of anybody who would be interested, just leave a comment here, or email me at aom_is_a_god@hotmail.com.
