AboutThis community is to talk about and learn about bands that are not "pop". I.E. aren't in regular rotation on the american versions MTV, VH1, Much Music, or other music channels. If they have a video or two on there that's cool, or if they are international bands that have rotation on the international music channels that's cool too! But this is place is not for people like Blink182, Nirvana, The Rolling Stones etc. You get it, lesser known bands. If you are joining and you don't think you can contribute any, don't worry, you can learn about lesser known bands!
If you are in a band and want to tell us where you are going to perform, and what your album name is, do it! You are invited to shamelessly promote yourself.
Mainly it's to bring talent upto the surface and try and support them via word of mouth, and to tell people about their upcoming tours and the like. So, if you want to let people know when say Small Brown Trike, or Mary Prankster are playing let us know! When you post about a new band you recently came across, or one that you know and love, please put their website addy in your post so we can go and peek.
No, I do not work for a record label. I am just tired of what's on the radio and looking to broaden the horizons.
I am putting as many lesser known bands that I can think of off the top of my head in the interests section, if you know of any you would like to add, please let me know!
