Welcome to the bread shop!

Hi and welcome to Nomphung Shop! Nomphung means bread in Thai and you pronunced it like "Noam-fung." This is an icon/freeware graphics community and if you love icons, go ahead and look around or share some that you had already created. To join the community, just click "join here" at the top of this bio and you're in! If you don't want the community in your friends page, then uncheck it first before you officially join and you'll be in "watching," lurking mode instead.

Please join despite your skill level. It doesn't matter. As long you have a love of making icons and generously like giving them away for sharing, then you have what it takes to be a member!

Before we start anything, there are 10 rudimentary do's and dont's rules, so please follow them so we would all have a good day and we didn't generate any enemies. We don't want that do we? It's mainly common sense really. If you know already, you don't have to read it.

10 Do's

1) Do post any ORIGINAL icons that you made, despite skill level.

2) Even if you don't know how to put text or fanciful designs on a icon, please do post BASES instead. A base icon is just plain 100 x 100 picture with no text or designs, just a picture. Icon makers loves to take bases so they can have something to work on and practicing their skills. Like bread, we need the basic ingredients to make the product.

3) Do please comment and let the author know if you decided to take any icons for your own personal use. It's polite and we would who uses our icons correctly instead of abusing it. Our icons is like our babies man and if we see that someone misuse our babies, we will raise Hell.

4) In conjunction with rule 3, if you do use our icons, please credit us! Here's a tutorial on how to that! Give credit where credit is due dammit! It's frustrating if you don't and will result in angry and pissed off icon makers. We work hard on learning the skills, why can't you realized that? We simply wanted to be acknowledged of our skills, that is all! If you're still clueless about using the keywords, then try your best to credit us in your userinfo/bio instead. Also please follow the icon-makers instruction of usage. Did she/he said to share the icon or that the icon that he/she made is for a specific person only?

5) In conjunction with rule 4, please credit whatever resources you use. Brushes. Images. Lyrics. Whatever you got it and you didn't make it, please credit the person who does.

6) In conjunction with rule 5, if you're using fanarts, please have the artist's direct permission to use it. Otherwise, you have a limit of using 2 sampling fanarts per artist and you must link to their art site to acknowledge their talents. If you're using fanarts excessively, I will warn you to stop it and try making something else instead. If not, I'll boot you out.

7) We encourage you to comment and give constructive criticism as well even if you don't take our icons. Keep in mind that some people don't encourage or desire constructive criticism and asked you to be considerate for their feelings...

8) Post advice, free resources (like brushes or fonts) or tutorials! Some of us are amateurs who are interested in increasing our skill! Let me know if you want to be put in the memories!

9) Feel free to ask for requests. If you want someone in specific, ask that person in private.

10) If you're going to post large batches of icons, let say 10 icons, please hide it behind an LJ-cut. Show off some "teaser" icons so people would know what lies in store inside the cut. To do an LJ-cute do the following:

Hey some of us (*coughs*) suffer a slow dial-up internet. Have consideration for people who has a slow connection!

Ah and also, if you have an icon journal, post a link to your individual entries where you had posted your batches of icons. It will save page-loading time and precious bandwidth as well! Also people will know where they could find your works too! You may promote your icon journal or icon communities (Hey if you want to be affilates with me, contact me!) as well.

10 Don't's

1) Keep offensive, vulgar language to a minimum. Some is okay but not excessively.

2) Do not bring in fandom wars. If you want somebody who cares go to

fanficrants.

3) Don't flame others. The accepted idea of a flame is somebody who couldn't spell or use grammar correctly and just flame to pissed off everybody. The only right the flamers is the right to be silent while we poke fun at him/her with malicious glee!

4) No homophobia. Some, if not, most of us are yaoi/yurri and shounen-ai/shoujo-ai fans or we are most likely gay ourselves! *sarcasm*

5) No plagiarism! Plagiarist are the lowest scum of the universe! Don't take somebody's elses work and say, "Hey d00d liek, look at me I made this icon even though I knew that I didn't make it myself!" and refuse to credit, do that and everybody has the right beat you hard down to the ground and make sure you don't live to see the light of day! We encourage originality!

6) Do not copy the icon-makers style or text. We took pride in being original and unique. We encourage you to do the same. C'mon, I bet you're a creative genius, right?

7) No elitist attitudes. What I mean is, don't say you're better than this person or that person. Unless it some random homophobic flamer or whiny idiots who lacks the skill to spell simple first-grade vocabulary.

8) Do not edit an icon that is made by the author already unless you have permission to edit to your liking.

9) NEVER. EVER. HOTLINK/DIRECT LINK TO ALL ICONS. It's bandwidth stealing and it is illegal.

10) Failure in compliance to the rules will result in relentless whacking, crude methods of torture, and horrid screaming of profanity because you're a pathetic, inferior being. Nah, just kidding. At the very least, we'll simply give you mutiple warnings until you the get the message. If not, you'll be banned.
