AboutThis is a community for the more darkly inclined citizens of New Orleans.
If you listen to goth, industrial, darkwave, EBM, synthpop, electro-industrial, or any of its ilk, you should find this community useful.
If you have joined, or are going to: READ THE FOLLOWING THOUROUGHLY.
This community was created to generate more communication about scene specific shows, club nights, events, gatherings, etc. So if you know something, post it!!
Please keep posts on topic, discussion is encouraged in scene related news, but don't go asking what everyone thought of the most recent episode of Angel, okay?
Pictures/flyers/ads/images of any kind must be put behind cut tags, or be linked to, if we want to look, we will.
Do NOT post a personal ad for yourself. If you want to find a date, come out to an event and do it in person. No "I need a job" posts, either.
Do not post an entry asking where you can score alchohol while underage or where you can score drugs. These will not be tolerated. Posts of this kind will be deleted.
You can post comments even if you are not an LJ member, but please sign your name and an e-mail address would be nice too. Abuse this privilege, and it will be turned OFF.
The more info you have on an event/show/night, the better. If you have times, prices, and websites for tickets or venues, POST THEM. :)
Music recommendations and reviews can be useful and are welcome, just don't get carried away. And if you are posting a review, please place it behind the LJ cut-tag.

*NoLaGoth.com - A good resource for finding places to go and things to see, and a frequently updated calendar! Which you can submit things to as well.
*NOLA By Night - a yearly(bi-yearly?) guide put out in print for visitors to the city.
*The LIST! - an e-mail list of happenings, events and discussions in and around the scene delivered right to your inbox. If you aren't on it, you should be.
*NoLa-Rivet - not used very often but it should be, this is another e-mail list specifically focused on the stompier types.
