Doc Paulin, RIP

Doc Paulin in 1995

Bob French announced on WWOZ that trumpeter Doc Paulin died at age 100.

(He might have been a couple years older)

Patriarch of the Paulin family-- his sons have the famous Paulin Brothers Brass band. For decades his own brass band was seen at many parades and events, hiring fine musicians old and young.

I recall into the 1990s he was still playing marching in parades like the Magazine Street St. Patrick's parade.
