Welcome to shuuto, livejournal's first and only community dedicated to the Japanese indies band 新興宗教楽団NoGoD [Shinkou Shuukyou Gakudan NoGoD]. The community was made on the 16th of August 2006 and it is moderated and maintained by karmik. In this community you will find information on NoGoD, the latest news, media, translations and anything else related to NoGoD. If you want to post, please read the rules first!  NoGoD was formed in Tokyo in March 2005, but the first 6-7 months the band spent practising and planning -- or, as they call it themselves, 'experimentally propagating daily'. The band seems to have been Danchou's idea and during the 6-7 months he assumedly gathered the other members around him. They worked and practised in silence to be able to start with full power starting from the beginning rather than start half-assedly and gradually become better. Finally on the 19th of October 2005, NoGoD had their first live with the present line-up. After less than a month, they were ready to release their first single, 「君に贈る不器用で身勝手な詩」 [Kimi ni Okiru Bukiyou de Migattena Shi]. The rest of 2005 and the beginning of 2006, NoGoD spent doing lives with various other small bands in different live houses all over Tokyo, until on the 24th of February, they released a mini-album called 「天罰円盤」 [Tenbatsu Enban]. NoGoD didn't slow down but in less than two months, on the 9th of April, NoGoD came out with a new single, 「櫻/君は月を掴む」 [Sakura / Kimi wa Tsuki wo Tsukamu]. In June they appeared on a Loop of Live Various Artists compilation album and in July 12, they released the first single of their two months' consecutive release campaign. The single was called 「赫布教」 [Akafukyou]. The second single was released not long after in August 30 and it was called 「黒布教」 [Kurofukyou]. In December 2006, NoGoD released their second mini-album. The mini-album was called 「神無布教」 [Kanna Fukyou] and it was released in two types: the A-type was limited to 1000 copies and it included 6 tracks and a DVD with the PV for the song Guren and a funny drama skit, making the DVD about half an hour long, whereas the B-type included 7 tracks and no DVD. After the release of their second mini-album, NoGoD waited only for about half a year before releasing their next maxi-single, 「アトリア」 [Atria]. Atria was also released in two types, one of which included a CD with two songs and a DVD with yet another crazy drama skit and a PV for the song Atria. The B-type was otherwise the same, but there was no DVD. Not long after the release of Atria, NoGoD announced that the main guitarist Aki would leave the band around the end of July. This resulted in kyrie's taking Aki's place as the main guitarist, and Shinno's (ex.Gift) joining the band as the second guitarist. Soon after Shinno joined the band, NoGoD proceeded to release two new singles, both of which included new recordings for two older songs (different ones for each single), as well as one new song per single. The first one of the singles, 「天」 [Ten], was released on August 8th, and the second one, 「罰」 [Batsu] on September 26th. The rules for this community are simple and few in number, so it should not be too hard to follow them. Any posts disregarding the rules will be deleted and if such behaviour will continue, the poster will be removed and banned from the community, so please make sure you read and understand the rules! ★ All kinds of information, news, scans, fanart, media etc. is very welcome, but please keep media posts members locked. ★ You may post mp3s and videos in the community; however, you are NOT allowed to request for them. ★ Fanfics and advertisements for roleplaying/fanfic communities are not allowed. ★ If you absolutely have to advertise another community, make sure it's somehow related to NoGoD and that you keep pictures larger than 400px under an lj-cut. ★ Be courteous, don't start a flame war, etc. You all know how this works. ★ Feel free to introduce yourself. :) But remember, introductions that have more than just "hi, i'm [insert name] from [insert country], nice to meet you!" are better!
