I am so sick and tired of living in California. Reasons include (and in no particular order):
1. Traffic
2. Prices
3. Mexicans
4.Umm Traffic
5. Overcrowding
6. I have 9, very cute jackets, and can count on one hand the opportunities i have had to wear them.
Don't get me wrong, i do enjoy California a great deal; the beaches the scenery (some of it). The not so crazy weather, yeah it does get hot as shit here during the summers, but im also not shoveling away 8 feet of snow just to back out of the driveway in the winter. I guess i've just been here long enough. 24 years is a long time to stay in one place. I really am ready to go right now. Now its only a matter of finding a place that is suitable....
Also school is going to be the death of me. I just know it. My classes aren't so bad, they are just so damn long. Really? 2 1/2 hours??? For what? There's just no reason for it IMO. |

I missed DNC Day 2 last night! I've been waiting for Jeremy to hook me up with some info... somebody? I wanna hear some opinions from someone else other than the talking heads of the US news stations.
I can't wait to go on vacay this Saturday. This Friday is my last Friday off :( My next full week of work is the week of 9/8... boo!
We move offices from Queens to Manhattan during the week of 10/11. Very exciting... moving into a brand new building with brand new chairs, desks, and utilities... I geek out about shit like that.
I'm thinking about moving back to Manhattan when my lease is up next June. I love Queens, its my home, but I'm too much of a city boy. And, I think I might want to live alone... I think I'm getting to the point where roommates aren't working for me. I dunno, we'll see... I still have a ways to go.
Sign #3 that I'm getting old... Twitter? Totally don't get the point. Who the eff cares about every minute detail of anyone's life, let alone yours? Previous signs I am getting old included my rants on the Jonas Brothers and Gossip Girl.

| 3 Things... and a P.S. |

1) I heart Michelle Obama... I think she's kind of amazing. I want her to be my third mom. I wanted to hug her like 18 times during her speech last night.
2) Nancy Pelosi kept expecting applause after like everything she said last night and wasn't getting any... it was hilar. And what was up with that story about her grandson looking at Obama and being like "I can hardly believe it." Was that supposed to be humorous in some way... b/c I was lost.
3) The idea that Hilary Clinton supporters would vote for McCain or just not vote at all baffles me. You would rather see someone who does not represent Hilary's platform at all, in fact, someone who is opposed to almost all that Hilary stands for, become president over Obama? Someone help me understand that.
PS: Did anyone read this article, about the gay media asshat from Out magazine who won't vote for Obama because he supposedly doesnt support LGBT issues? I thought it was total bullshit and then I got an email from the HRC today with this quote from Obama about LGBT rights:
When I am President of the United States, gays and lesbians will have somebody who will fight for equal rights for them, somebody who opposes Don't Ask, Don't Tell, somebody who's fought to make sure that gays and lesbians aren't discriminated against on the job or hospital visitation. Who knows in what context he said this but honestly, wtf has Hills done for gays and lesbians? And what has Obama done to hurt gays and lesbians? People and their bullshit is so frickin annoying. It makes me feel like there are REAL reasons people don't want to vote for BO but they are too ashamed to say. |

did i really have to cough up a lung to get it?
I've been having coughing fits for 2 straight days, meaning i couldn't sleep last night, and haven't been able to hold much of a conversation. On the upside, the congestion in my brain has meant my writer's block hasn't been able to infiltrate yet, and so I actually managed to get some writing done today.
Now i just have to wait up another hour and a half so i can take the nighttime flu pills i picked up today, and maybe - just maybe - i'll get more than 2 hours sleep tonight. Considering i have work in the morning, it would help. |
