WELCOME
This community is dedicated to the manga series KAMUI, drawn by Shingo Nanami. Community's purpose is to be a gathering place for the fans of the series, as well as a place for them to share their fanworks if they feel so inclined. Membership is open, so if you're a fan of KAMUI, feel free to join up!
THE MANGA
From Broccoli Books' site:
Spirits known as kamui are thrown into chaos when the sacred spirit Okikurumi is taken from Atsuma's village, and the imbalance threatens to destroy Earth. Infused with the spirit of an ancient sword, Atsuma must leave his village to reclaim Okikurumi.
He encounters NOA, an organization of youths who wield the power of the kamui, and who may hold the key to Okikurumi. Atsuma is recruited into NOA by Sumire, a young woman with an empty soul who yearns for a miracle. Atsuma and his new companions must work together to find Okikurumi before the world is destroyed.
Personally, I'd label KAMUI a dystopic fantasy/sci-fi story with good characters and great art, but that's just how I see the story.
ETIQUETTE
As common sense should say, no bashing or flaming, be respectful to others' opinions, no posting of stolen fanworks, etc. Also, large images and spoilers should always be behind an lj-cut and clearly marked as such.
Fanworks should be clearly labeled with proper ratings and pairings. The community is open to gen, het, yaoi and yuri, so feel free to post any of the previously mentioned.
